I stumbled on Inside Lagos one evening after a really long day. I was just driving around to clear my head when I saw the name Inside Lagos at Keeles by Finch and something told me to stop. A kind and pleasant lady, who I later found out owns the place, welcomed me with such good customer care and warmth that I immediately felt at ease. I ordered amala with dry fish and ponmo, and honestly, it reminded me of home. The jollof rice had that smoky Nigerian taste I’ve missed for years, and the suya was just right, spicy and flavorful. The food was fresh, the place was neat, and there was this homely atmosphere that made me relax like I was back in Nigeria. Since that day, I just keep going back. Not only because it’s fancy, but because it feels real- the food, the people, the vibe. This is the best and most tasty Nigerian food I have tasted here in a restaurant.
Terrible experience. Overpriced food with mediocre taste, and the service was slow and dismissive. Definitely not worth the money and bad customer service.
The customer service is terrible. You will wait before speaking to anyone and when you do, you can be sure you’re waiting 30-40 mins for even the smallest orders.
The food is good but, the wait time is way too long, expect to wait at least 40 mins for your order and the customer service is terrible, there’s no one to help you and the staff is extremely rude .
I have nothing to say as far as food is concerned but customer service in this restaurant is the worse of whole Canada. For a customer who have been coming into your restaurant at least once every two nobody pass by and says hello or just a simple smile. I always feel as if go there to ask for a favour. I have never had a sense of consideration. I pay money in your restaurant and the least you can do is to show a little bit of consideration
Was visiting Toronto from the states. Extremely disappointed in this place. Despite the reviews I decided to give it a try. I purchased the following: two orders of egusi soup with pounded yam and an order of puff puff. Also had jollof and meat and okra with eba. The jollof was actually yummy! Everything else was a major turn off. To start my puff puff had a FOREIGN object inside that resembled a bread bag tie or a trash bag plastic tie. It was literally cooked inside of it and I bit into it. So disgusting. The egusi was underwhelming, extremely lumpy and under seasoned. Also it was clumpy with hardly any red stew, just oil at the bottom. Also like others have stated the portions are very small for the price, I must say I was relieved with the small portion so I didn’t feel so bad wasting the food since I threw it away. I will not be back! It was so bad I almost feel entitled to file a chargeback on my card. Disgusting place. Stop playing with people’s money and food.
As usual with most Nigerian vendors, the food is good at the beginning, then it starts to drop in quality and quality. There’s no way this is worth $29 and it’s quite a shame. I order this assorted pepper soup all the time but after today I’m not sure I will anymore. It’s drastically reduced in quantity and quality.
