While the barber, Kim, may have experience with adult clients, I found his manners and haircutting skills lacking professionalism. More importantly, he did not seem trained in how to communicate or interact with young children, which made the experience uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place for kids, as it does not feel child-friendly.
To the elderly man who cut my hair July 28th 2025,you did deplorable job.Surrender, you’re barbering license as soon as possible,if didn’t know how to cut a black person hair you should’ve said that instead of almost pushing my hair back.Telling me you can’t use a razor because ‘’it’s illegal’’ this is what he told me like!!! who do you think you were talking to a child? But anyway I got it fix by you real professional barber,if you’re black do not go here if you don’t want your hair line send to Africa…I wish I could give no stars.
It was the worst hair salon I've ever been to in my life. The boss basically lacks a lot of concept of hair and the service level is the worst. Please go somewhere else. You will regret it no matter what. This is the first place in my life where I gave no tips.
It’s been weeks since I got this haircut, and I still feel upset every time I look in the mirror so i decided to comment. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst haircut experiences I’ve had in Toronto. I really think Mr. Shin could benefit from some professional training or lessons to improve his skills and better serve his clients. The haircut itself took only about 5 minutes. I went from long hair to shoulder-length, and despite showing him a reference picture beforehand, he barely glanced at it for a second before saying “okay.” It didn’t feel like he put much care or effort into the process. That said, he was polite, and the price was $29 (including tax and tip), which isn’t expensive. However, given the result, I don’t feel it was worth it. P.S.: If you're considering visiting, a translator might help with communication.
The worst hair cut I even had?? There are 2 rooms in a place I went in, the first one grabbed me I asked if here is Kim’s, he said Okok Finally he said he is Shin, he didn’t listen to my request at all, I want my hair to cover forehead up to eyebrows, he cut it up to almost 1.5” above eyebrows ????
This is the worst hair salon I've ever been. My hair is totally fked up and I have to wait for couple months to grow my hair back. I don't understand why there're so much positive reviews in Google.
Solid no-frills Korean hair salon for a women’s cut ($25) by Yonge and Finch. And when I say, no frills, I mean it! It’s a very hole-in-the-wall haircut spot. They do wash your hair before a cut. Been going for a couple of years and I’ve been happy with results. Bring a picture of the haircut you want from Instagram/Pinterest and the director will try his best to execute your request. The stylists speak Korean so the visual sides are helpful. Payments are best made in cash but they accept card too.
