Pretty good Claypot rice. Made very authentic comparable to Hong Kong restaurants. Due to the nature of the dish be advised it does take quite a while to cook fresh.
I ordered the casserole rice with three toppings — BBQ eel, assorted preserved meat and BBQ pork — and it was absolutely delicious. The rice had a lovely smoky crust at the bottom, the toppings were rich and full of flavour, and everything was cooked perfectly. The flavours really took me back to Hong Kong, and the soy sauce is what makes it outstanding. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out piping hot. I’ll definitely be back.
I had a quick, casual dinner and found a great price at $12.99 for 2 toppings on rice with steamed vegetables. I always order either salted fish with chicken or salted fish with minced pork.
Don’t order any dish with eel. You only get 3 pieces of eel and rest of the topping are sausages even though the name of the dish is the rice with eel (with preserved meats). It might because eels are pricey. There was only one waitress in the hall. She seemed busy but whenever we asked her for stuff we needed, she listened and sort out things quickly.
The brown seatings is a bit odd but the food is good. For $12.99, I got the assorted preserved meat and minced pork rice. The bottom was crispy, though chewy, it was still crispy. It comes with a side of veggie and pop. Def worth the meal! There was a little girl with her grandparents when I was there and they were chatting with the server. A family place for sure, will come back!
Great authentic clay pot rice. Same good quality as their other location. New and clean place. Make sure you order ahead to avoid the wait. The 20 minutes is key to getting rice crispy. Lunch comes with veggies and a drink as well.
The best rice noodle rolls served here. Reasonably good price and decent amount of food. I have returned a few times. The casserole rice takes about 15-20 mins as a downside. Also they are not consistent with the “crispy rice” for the casserole.
