Tooo slow for the station 180 kwh. Charging $0.50 per minute, gives 72 kwh max but in reality it max 67 kwh. Outside is 9 degree and my car is 1 year old. Usually I charge max 147-163 kwh
Not reliable. Half of the time, only one charger is working and 9 times out of 10, it's in use, so....good luck charging your car in this area. No chargers anywhere.
We did not have a good experience with this charging station: a) We have accounts with other networks, such as Chargepoint, but as this Shell station was in an ideal location for our trip, we downloaded the Shell App (iPhone). No mention that the Shell app that we downloaded was only for Europe! So the app didn’t work. We called the help line, and eventually got the correct North American app downloaded (again, nothing to indicate which it was for) and started charging… b) Online, the station indicated that it is a 180 kW Level 3. There were no other vehicles charging, but we only got 50 kW. The help line got us to disconnect while they rebooted the station. After Rebooting, it was only putting out 25 kW, eventually getting as high as 45 kW c) So, instead of a 15 minute stop to top up our battery, it was well over an hour. And when we tried to leave, there was a truck parked in front of us, blocking both us and those trying to get into the car wash. Absolute chaos. We were stuck for another 10-15 minutes The charging units are tucked away behind the entrance to the car wash – which was very busy, making it a bit of a challenge to get squeezed into place. d) Naturally the station charges by the minute. Nice gig: Advertise 180 kW at $30.00 per hour and then only deliver 45 kW… and still charge by the minute, not the kW’s delivered.
