I was there on July 30th to rent a Genie lift. I called them twice to reserve and went there at 9:10 to rent. The rep told me that the daily rate is 109.25 plus tax, and he automatically charged damage coverage without any consent, which I didn't complain about. He told me that if you bring it within 4 hours, he would charge the 4-hour rate and refund the money. I rushed my work and used the genie lift since my job wasn't much, and I brought it back within 3:30 minutes. They gave me the paperwork and told me everything was all set. The next day, I noticed they charged me for the entire day. I called them and spoke with manager Britney, who explained that she had to charge the full day and apologized for the inconvenience. However, she still had to charge the full day. Beware of their scam. One person promises something and after they got the money they can do or charge whatever they want
i had a very bad experience at this place. in all the years of being in this industry i’ve never been treated like this. If i could give 0 stars i would. I had some issues with the the machine i rented, and they tried to blame it on me. The machine was leaking anti freeze and oil, the property even has stains of the liquids it’s leaking. and the i suspected the starter was broken. i called the service and they said it would take 4 hours, they ended up coming the next day. i called for service and a private mechanic came from stevenston and told me i was right. then when the mechanic came the next day, i have a video of me telling him it’s the starter and he was able to fix it, because i knew what it was, i have experience of 10+ years with machines and in construction. another incident involving the manager named brittney, she tried to blame it on me because the mechanic said we tiped the machine and blew the engine. when we spoke on the phone and she was extremely rude, yelling over me and being rude, she was shouting at me and hung up the phone on me 3 separate times, blaming the machines failures on me. the mechanic said i was right and the starter was out, it wasn’t my fault he even admitted it. i was explaining to brittany that i was disappointed because the machine wasn’t working and it wasn’t my fault, and they said it was my fault when it wasn’t. i rented this machine to work and paid a lot of money. i had to rent a scaffold to finish the job, i couldn’t even use the machine i paid for. i had to pay a private company to power wash the entire property because of the stains it had. it’s completely unfair the way i was being treated, i do not recommend this place.
Patricia and Britney were extremally rude, were very disrespectful and had a terrible attitude. They made the process of the order a nightmare. Went in person, told the manager and he did absolutely nothing and seemed scared to do anything. Suggest that no one comes here, they clearly don't value your business.
Not a very pleasant experience. Our company has been using Stephenson's because we have an account with them and they have many locations so I've been using them for equipment rental. We usually request drop off/pick up service to a job site. They provide a 4 hour window but sometimes don't pick it up after 4 hours and we would be held liable for the unit until they pick it up, even if it's the next day or days later. I would have my tech wait around for the pick up and they don't show up. I understand that they can't pick it up right away but we also can't wait at the client job site all day. When I asked to speak to someone to discuss this concern the company rep was very rude and just wanted to hang up to phone so they wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. Based on this interaction, I will be working with a different supplier in the future.
Booked a road saw a week in advance and was told there would be a blade with it. When we arrived, there was no blade. Instead of apologizing, the woman I spoke with was rude. She dug her heels in, kept repeating policy, and took no accountability. Will not be coming back.
