They won't answer simple questions like "do you have black fur?" over the phone and just say "come in yourself". I want to shop locally but I allso use the bus. This is why internet shopping is killing physical stores.
This was my first time at fabricland; I came to prepare for my wedding and I left after being absolutely belittled by the staff. Why is the store operated with such little efficiency? Where are descriptions of how this business works? Or the measurements? Why are the staff so understaffed and unmotivated which in turn are making them rude to the customers? They talked about how the other location got covid in front of us freely and how frustrated they were. Clearly this is a problem to be addressed at a higher level.
Their Google info and their actual information are not updated It is that or they close hours before what is stated in here and their door. Their phone number has no information either. This place is a gamble in which you're going to (most likely) waste your time.
The associate who took my phone inquiry was super helpful. However when I arrived at the store the reception was rather distasteful. I asked where to find grommets and the associate didn't speak English. I spelled the word for her but she didn't understand. She only knew Russian and pointed me to another very rude and abnoxiois associate. I asked if she could tell me where to find grommets she looked me up and down then in an hostile tone told me she was busy with a customer and that I should wait. I waited 5 minutes and she made no effort to answer. I walked to the center of the store and yelled for assistance in finding grommets. Thats when a very sweet lady came over and pointed to the drapery end of the store. I can't thank her enough. This location deserves 0 stars!
As I was shopping I lifted my mask a bit to take a quick breath. Didn't remove or lower it and super fast like she was waiting around the corner the security guard came and told me if I couldn't keep it on she would kick me out. Again ...I didn't remove or lower it just pulled away a tiny bit to take a breath. I explained this to her and she was still insisting that I should leave. She kept following me and giving me a checking me out like I was some criminal. I have never been so disrespected while shopping. I fully support the mask but we need to understand a quick breath is needed sometimes and that their is a better way to talk to one's customers. It's not like the mask was under my nose or completely off. I don't need to shop at that location. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Sorry not sorry.
I will NEVER shop here again. As soon as I entered the store the security guard gave me a horrible look. I was watched and followed around the store, I’m assuming because I’m a young person and the clientele is usually older. This annoyed me enough to not purchase what I went there to buy. As I was leaving, the security guard ran up and peeked around a corner, looking at my hands as though expecting to see me stealing. I am disgusted and offended and will do my fabric/sewing shopping elsewhere from now on.
