My favourite fried rice spot in Toronto. The chicken dosa, chicken kothu and chicken fried rice are spot on. All time favourites. Service is good. Must visit if you love spicy, piping hot, and good food. I have visited many times and the quality and portion size has always been exceptional.
A must visit spot, the taste and the quantity is excellent. We tried biriyani, chicken fried rice and chicken noodles everything was freshly made and the owner was very kind. Only issue is no customers please do come visit.
This is my first time visiting them; the fried rice is really good. I will visit again to sample their other dishes. Update: I am still visiting them on a weekly basis, and I have always been quite happy with their food. I can't eat 'hot' (really spicy) food and the owner prepared the food the way I can enjoy it (it may seem like a no-brainer, but that's not always a possible adjustment for some restaurants). Their rice dishes have a very 'unique' spice use that I don't see anywhere else around this part; it gives a 'warm' sensation but it's not hot. I have started sampling their comfort food and I really look forward to my next visit.
This joint provides real good Sri Lankan food. The taste is good. The chef opens the kitcken around 6PM so don't be deceived anout the times in google. Overall food meets expectations and the portion sizes are reasonable for the price. This place is not the cheapest Sri Lankan food place in toronto. Kottu: this gives authentic Sri Lankan kottu vibes making most of the other joints around toronto sub par. They have chicken, mutton, and other options as well. 5 stars String hopper kottu: ordinary and nothing special about them. 3 stars Fried rice: One of the best Sri Lankan fried rice in Toronto. The chicken and eggs are generously added. This gets 5 stars. Short eats: Samosa and rolls are ok but I have had better in Toronto so not really good. 2 stars. The overall 3 stars are due to waiting time. Your order will take minimum an hour feom the time you pay. You can order in advance but the phone is not always answered. I believe this is due to the fact that it is a single person run shop. He does everything. Cleanliness is not so good but not bad either. Edit: The quality of food has remained the same, hence increasing the stars to 4 stars. I managed to order in advance to get the food.
