I’m a big fan of Tracer golf and visit the Newmarket location frequently. So when I found myself in North York today with an hour to kill, I booked an hour in a bay. I drove to the address, but was surprised there were no signs at all. I drove around the building and around the area, and almost gave up when I saw someone leave a back door of the building with golf clubs. I entered the completely unmarked door and found my bay but unfortunately I lost time from my booking due to the lack of signage. Moreover, as a lone female, I felt uneasy about entering a completely unmarked building in a back drive, even though it was broad daylight. Once inside, it was about what I expected, though not as nicely maintained as Newmarket. There’s just one washroom with a dirty urinal. This location definitely needs signage, and generally better upkeep. Won’t return to this location.
Went there for the first time today and I have to say it is a very bad simulator. First I used the “pro” bay and while it worked well for irons, it just simply couldn’t read the driver. After trying to work it out with tech support (and I will say the guy was super nice and tried to help) I eventually moved over to the “premium” bay. While it was nice seeing every shot go pretty much perfectly straight, I suspected the simulator couldn’t accurately capture side spin and so tried hitting some driver shots with very shut and very open faces and the ball basically barely curved (in real life these would be mega hooks and slices). I can see why if you haven’t used many simulators before you’d think this place is great (who doesn’t love hitting every shot straight) but in reality it’s just really inaccurate tech. EDIT: tracer upgraded their pro bay last year with the new overhead version of trackman. While not as good as a regular trackman, it's not a bad for the price.
- Fully automated - Impact Vision software, data can be saved - Standard rubber tees, different tee heights available for adjustment - No putting area - Phone holders available on wall to film progress - Vending machine available - Multiple locations - Competitive prices
The space is tidy and the sims are simple to use. I like that they had lots of tee heights easily available. I felt like the mats could be better quite harsh to hit off of. One odd things was that my friend and I experienced multiple balls fly back at us and haven't had this happen at other simulators. I think this is because the mats are a bit close to the screen. For these reasons I would say my experience was only okay.
Really enjoyed my time there with my kids practicing our swing. Nice to have separate rooms- next time I’ll be sure to get one of those, as we are a bit louder with the boys as we talk about ways to improve etc. Would be nice to have a few more comfortable chairs, esp if you’re with a few people. Overall great easy experience! Will come again!
Myself and other friends are very satisfied abiut your facility. Reasonable price and also 24/7 is amazing. One thing if Tracer can improve is turf. I wish there is softer turf for irons. Hard floor sometimes giving us too much pressure in our hands and wrists so other than that we love you?⛳?️♂️?️?️♀️
Just visited for my 1st time and this place is great. Easy to access, equipment worked as described etc. Only minor complaint was it got hot in there but there were some floor fans. Suggestion to improve the experience, put up some flat screens TVs in each bay so we can catch the Raptors game in between swings :)
