Excellent comfort food on a chilly night. Niku udon had good broth and decent portions of beef. The side gyudon that came with this combo ($23, very worth it) was a highlight: slightly seared/charred on its edges over sauced rice. The 5 pieces of salmon sashimi very large portions for only $. These completed the meal which really hit the spot.
Walked in on a cold evening, and this place had the perfect cozy ambience, but even more importantly the food was delicious. I ordered the momo chicken steak udon with a mini chashu don, and everything came out great. The portions were also generous. Service was very friendly. Will definitely come back again!
Great spot for a bowl of ramen or sushi. Very cozy atmosphere, can fit only a handful of people but that’s part of the charm. Food was delicious, especially the cha su pork. Great sear and taste. Would definitely recommend this place!
Such a cozy spot for a cold night when you're craving for something hearty and soupy. The space is a bit small (about 5 dine-in seats in total) but it didn't take away from the experience at all. The food itself is delicious! The soups are rich in flavour and the ingredients are fresh. Very friendly staff as well. Thank you for having us!
Very delicious food and great service. Fiona was friendly and kind, and she helped us arrange our order smoothly. I had the tomato umami ramen, and they were really good. I’ll definitely come back!?
Didnt expect much coming in, pleasantly surprised that there was seating available on a friday night the duck udon was flavourful, the duck was thiiiick and juicy. Also the Japanese Taro Ice cream was soo creamy✨️ Service was fantastic, music and vibes also created a nice casual atmosphere for conversation between friends. Would come again. ✨?
Enjoyed our meal at Issai Japanese Eatery — the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh, and each dish was well-prepared with great attention to flavor and detail. The only downside was the poor air circulation inside the restaurant, which made it feel a bit stuffy during our visit. Aside from that, it’s a lovely spot with great food and friendly service. A few improvements to the ventilation would easily make it a 5-star experience!
