We researched a lot of companies, reviewed a good number of quotes and this company definitely exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was great- from the initial discussions and review of designs to the follow-ups and professional installation. The sales staff is top notch and the installers are amazing. Everyone was so professional, friendly and helpful. They paid attention to every detail throughout the process and kept us in the loop. They installed quickly and were even able to install all railings while protecting our newly done lawn. The railings look amazing and are exactly what we envisioned. We did a complete demo and rebuild so we had to do two balconies and our front and back porch. This was probably one of the easiest and most stress-free parts of our project. We needed to replace the ancient iron railings on our front porch with new ones. After doing research we decided to use Dufferin Iron & Railings as they had good reviews, were relatively nearby, and were very responsive to our initial queries. Kayla (project manager) and Brian (shop manager) were very helpful during the design phase, including accommodating two visits from us to their showroom to settle on a final design that we liked. They also addressed concerns we had with installing railings on a new porch surface that we had just installed, and with being very careful during installation due to a repaired and therefore potentially weakened concrete porch slab. Sergio and Júnior arrived to do the installation, but Sergio was not happy with the angle of the sloped parts of the railing, so they installed what they could and took the sloped parts back to the shop for adjustment. Although they planned that this would take a few days, the shop was able to make the adjustments immediately and Sergio and Marcelo returned the next day to finish the installation. A day or two later we noticed that the two railing sections (left side and right side of the porch) were slightly out of alignment, and I sent an email to Kayla asking if this could also be adjusted. She replied within 30 minutes and Sergio was back at our place less that 60 minutes after my email to make the changes. In conclusion, we are very pleased with our new railings and have been very happy with Dufferin Iron; they always responded promptly, they made sure the work was done to our satisfaction, they cleaned up the work area after they were finished, and they accommodated e-transfers across a few days due to a daily transfer limit.
I needed railings for my front porch due to the original railings started deteriorating after 40 years. I chose dufferin iron vs other companies because of their professional looking iron work, and the price is fair. These railings are hot dip galvanized zinc coated that would last for many decades. The installers were very experienced with precise fitting to porch. They took their time making sure everything was straight, accurate and solid. Great job! from Dufferin Iron and Railings.
