Be careful!!! I went and a bought a mackerel (whole fish) that was 15$ per kg. He measured the fish and it came 11.70$ before cleaning. Mackerel doesn’t have much of intestines and the Filipino guy cleaned the fish. Instead of the sticker that came out of the machine with the price (he disregarded this one for unknown reason) and wrote on the blank one with the pen 18.80$. At the cash register I asked why 18 as I clearly remember that it was 11.70 he said because I cleaned it. He weighed the fish again and it was 720gr (cleaned). I asked him in order to be 18.80$ you needed to remove 1/2 kg of intestines which is impossible from one mackerel. They both (two Filipino guys) understood that I was right and lowered the price to 13.50$ which was still incorrect I just didn’t want to bother to argue with them as other customers were waiting behind and it was very uncomfortable as they were raising their voice and other customers were listening. Avoid this store, high prices with dishonest workers. Awful experience.

City fish has plenty of people working there to serve you efficiently. They clean the fish as you like even removing the eyes which is quite important to me. The variety of fresh wild fish is excellent and their prices are more than fair.

Lobsters as fresh and lively as any I’ve had on the Gaspé coast (where I live)! Great service/attention! The complimentary lemon ( for the oysters) was a nice touch!! Thank you all!

I have been shopping here for years but lately the quality has gone downhill. I called ahead for 4 branzino fillets. When I unwrapped them for dinner they were bloody and bone filled. I used bone tweezers for 20 mins before abandoning the project and instead heading out to dinner. I brought the fillets back the next day to show them. Their response was “a fillet is bloody and boney. You should have asked us for a ‘V’ cut” where all bones are removed”. I’ve never heard of a V cut and perhaps they should have asked me when I called for the fillets if I wanted them cleaned and deboned. Needless to say. I AM NEVER GOING BACK. Highly recommend any other fish store (avenue road seafood!) . Or even the fish counter at Pusateris. Similar price. Phenomenally better quality and customer service.

We love City Fish Market. They are so helpful and have a great selection. Recently, it was my dad’s 100th birthday and they treated him so well! He felt very special and celebrated! Thank you for making his white fish purchase for gefilte fish so successful!

The organic Irish salmon was very fresh and tasted delicious eaten raw or cooked. The smoked trout and salmon are the best in the GTA. Would highly recommend this place to all fish lovers as the quality is top notch and prices are very reasonable.

Sadly, very disappointed. Showed up today and picked up a dzn oysters and Sable fish( black cod). The oysters were acceptable. Nothing special, not particularly sweet - East coast. Raspberry point and Lucky lime. I've had the same if better quality locally. $1.50/shell. It's fine. The Sable..... total disappointment. Wasn't foul smelling but not sweet. Some age in expecting. Au papier prepared. Complete break down of the fish. Mush and fishy. Not firm and flaky, with richness ( Sable is an oily delicate Northern cod) complete disappointment this fish was treated poorly or was old. Sold 45$ worth of junk. Completely disappointed. It's Tuesday. Not Monday. Fish should be fresh. Have an eye when visiting. Back to Diana's it is. City fish.... I expected more.
