This review is for the Wild Wing upstairs, I’ve never had a one star review before but here I am. When we got here the service was good and the Waiter was kind, when I ordered I got a 7up with a quesadia with just chicken and cheese, and a side of buffalo sauce. When he came out with my 7up i took a sip and it was sour, thought they have me soda water. No problem just ordered another one. When he came out with it (which was 20 minutes later) it was still soir so i just ordered a water, and it still took him another 15 minutes. When i got my quesadia he said that they couldn’t make my order right « because they were busy. » and he didn’t Even bring the sauce out with it. Terrible service and proud to say I won’t be coming back. The waiters name is Hayden
They need to stop wasting money redoing the bar and installing blue tooth etc and start spending money on the actual hockey facilities. Penalty box doors that don’t open from the ice surface. Roofs that leak and flood during rain storms and penalty box doors that swing shut on their own. The technology is there and in many Canlan facilities (Etobicoke for one) so why do we continue to put players at risk with doors that don’t function properly.
Canlan York should be shut down by Toronto's health department. The washrooms are disgusting. The ice surfaces have inproved in the last few years thoough they are nowhere near the quality of Scotiabank Pond. Even basic things like mats over concrete floors near the ice surface, for a 'profit above all' corporation like Canlan can't be done, because players on both teams can just walk around the rink. The absolute worst hockey facility in Toronto, it is so bad that I'm thinking it's intentional. Shamefull!!!
Frequent cancelation for drop-in programs. When I arrived at the location, I found out the drop-in session was canceled while I was driving to the place. This is not once or twice. This is consistently the issue here. Arriving to find out the drop-in is canceled is the worst.
Prices are of the best in the city with great ice for what you’re paying. Many vending machines ( which actually work) full pizza station, full bar upstairs with view of some of the rinks. nice pro shop with manual skate sharpener, some sticks with friendly staff.
It's a very popular facility and it's kept in good condition. They have an awesome Olympic size pad which is rarely found. Every ice pad should have this extra few feet of width!
