Our daughter Ivy had an absolutely lovely time at Water Babies. All the instructors were amazing and fun. She learnt a lot and became more confident in the water. It is a shame that she got to an age where she couldn't go anymore but we highly recommend Water Babies to any new parents.
The teaching staff did an amazing job with my children’s swimming lessons. They were patient, skilled, and made the lessons fun and safe. My kids learned quickly and gained confidence. Highly recommend
We enrolled our baby in Water Babies when she was just 10 months old, and now, at 22 months, we're amazed at the incredible progress she's made! Our little one has developed remarkable swimming skills and confidence in the water, thanks to the expert guidance of our wonderful instructor, Karen. Her kindness, patience, and gentle approach have been instrumental in our baby's journey from tentative beginner to happy, splashing swimmer. While we've been satisfied with the program, we do want to caution other parents to carefully review Water Babies' policies before enrolling. It's essential to understand their terms and conditions to avoid any surprises. Overall, we recommend Water Babies and are so grateful for the skills and confidence our baby has gained. Karen's instruction has been exceptional, and we're thrilled with the progress our baby has made!
They will keep your credit card details and charge you no matter if you attend the classes or not . EVEN IF YOU CALL AND TRY TO CANCEL BEFORE 25th and say that you can’t attend the following months and onwards , THEY ARE SOOO ARROGANT AND MONEY MINDED AND WILL CHARGE YOU FOR THE NEXT MONTH !!! NEVER EVER HAD A WORSE SUBSCRIPTION POLICY ANYWHERE ELSE !!! I WONT TRY WATER BABIES AGAIN ?.
I had a thoroughly disappointing experience with Water Babies Toronto and feel compelled to share my negative review. Regarding the swimming classes, the quality left much to be desired. The facilities were underwhelming (North PS), and it felt like they hadn't been properly maintained. There were no doors/stalls in the change rooms, women were openly changing their kids in the mens change rooms as Dads stood around dripping wet waiting for them to leave so they could change. We inquired about switching locations but the only ones remotely close were full or wait-listed. I was also taken aback by the crowded classes, making it difficult for my child to get the attention and instruction they needed. It was more like a chaotic pool playtime than a structured learning environment. At our first class, the instructor welcomed us all to the 'final class' of the session... huh? Our child with no swimming experience was then asked to perform a number of maneuvers that only graduating kids should be doing. The class was a mix of first time parents and long time parents who all just looked at each other perplexed. In terms of instruction, I expected well-trained instructors, but what we got were disinterested individuals who seemed to be going through the motions. They lacked enthusiasm, and their teaching methods left a lot to be desired. Classes felt VERY rushed as they crammed as many families into their rented pool time as possible. My child hardly made any progress in their swimming skills during the time we spent with Water Babies Toronto. To add insult to injury, their pricing was exorbitant for the subpar service they provided. I felt like I was paying a premium for something that was far from a premium experience. It's clear that they prioritize profit over the quality of instruction and customer satisfaction. For a similar price we could have hired a private instructor for far better results, or paid 1/4 the price and stuck with city programs. Not happy with the classes? Better let them know two months in advance or they're going to hold you at gun point with your credit card and force another session on you. They have a ridiculous rule that you need to cancel before the 25th of the month so they don't auto-commit you to paying for another session two months later. Our first lesson was on the 23rd of the month, that gave us a whopping 2 days to reach them to cancel a THIRD session. We let them know 33 days in advance that we had no interest in being there but they just hid behind their policy and charged our account another $170 for a program we wanted no part of. Overall, my experience with Water Babies Toronto was a frustrating and disappointing one. I would strongly caution anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a better swim program that values its customers and provides a more conducive learning environment for children. ** To Water Babies directly... I know you'll follow-up with a canned response to this review about how clear you make your cancellation policy, but you can look at all the other negative reviews at various locations and maybe consider it's time to re-evaluate your 'policies' drop the sketchy auto-subscribe system and maybe you'll leave less customers angry and feeling taken advantage of.
I have started waterbabies north York when my son was 5 months old, I was so scared and worried because I was thinking it’s too early for him but now he is almost 3 years and when I see him swimming I am so excited and proud that I made a great decision to join them.
Great courses and friendly staff. My son is 21 months’ old and he’s scared water at the first class, but the teacher Felicia was very patient and kindly gave me some suggestion, so my little one started learning in the pool very soon. Only not that satisfied is their changing room is not warm enough, so we have to changing clothing for the baby very quickly.
