Let me start by saying, that my first experience of Japanese Tepanyaki, was from the all-inclusive resort of Gran Bahia Principe Esmeralda. I wanted to state this, since I was quite disappointed from that experience. Having said that, after many years of avoiding another Tepanyaki experience, I took a risk and decided to try out Hibachi Tepanyaki (Fairview Mall), after I heard some good reviews. However, I was once again disappointed and after this experience, I would not do it again. Reasons for disappointment: 1-Price (approximately $270 with tax + 15% automatic gratuity for 6 ppl) for the amount of food given, you’re better off with a regular AYCE sushi place 2-Quality of food was mediocre. Beef for med-well was overcooked. Chicken was dry. All the of the food had lots of butter and soy sauce tossed in it which made it taste a bit too salty for my liking 3-Service was very scarce, even though the the restaurant was only 1/4 occupied. The servers never came to ask us if we need more drinks or napkins. It took a long time to clear up our table and to bring out desserts Some positives from the experience was the little “show” they do while cooking and the ambience of the restaurant was a kind of classy.
At first we were sitted in a very tight place but they changed our table and it was better. The food was fresh and I loved the noodle and shrimp. The steak and Chicken was a little salty
I’ve been a regular here and I’ve loved thefood and service always. But yesterday we had the most pathetic experience. On a regular day I have happily tipped my server 20% of the bill. But we got a new server this time. He has conveniently charged us 15% of the bill without even asking us and even billed us wrong. We had to ask him to correct the bill twice. We were a table of 3. And hibachi menu says gratuity is compulsory only on a table of 6. This guy has not even asked us and went on to add his own tip and then goes on to say when u take the membership it’s compulsory. It’s no where mentioned not on the app nor on the pamplet that they gave. I would have happily tipped him if he did not try to cheat us. This is downright pathetic and I wish my regular server was there. Never coming back to this place atleast not during the time this guy is there. He also threw the bill receipt at us towards the end because we questioned him. Let me give you a lesson on customer service, the tip should have been upto us since we were table of 3 people. We would have very graciously tipped you, but not after you were rude and abruptly put the paper on us.
You’d think that your chef would be Asian but it’s actually an Indian guy so you know it’s kind of weird. I went there to create content, but the vibe was kind of different.

Everything you'd expect with stir fry food. Expectations are just you'd expect... It's ok. Nothing amazing, nothing super flavorful. Just stir fry flavors. The show is the same if you have already been before. Nothing's changed over the years. If you haven't tried, it's ok to see what it's about.
We paid for the birthday package and they didn’t give the hat until the end despite us asking. There was also no show and no jokes from the woman. Not fun but food was okay
worst sushi plate we’ve ever had. dry and frozen crab stick quality. service was horrible. the other tables finished first but they decided to take our plate when we were still eating.
