We couldn’t have been happier with Encore Catering for our wedding. The food was absolutely outstanding - the beef short rib especially was to die for and became the clear guest favorite. We had people coming up to us all night (and still months later) saying it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and something they’ll never forget. Encore went above and beyond to accommodate multiple guests with Celiac disease, allergies, and vegetarian/vegan preferences. Everyone felt taken care of and raved about their meals. Service on the day was flawless - smooth, efficient, and friendly. Timing for cocktail hour, dinner, and late-night snacks flowed seamlessly. One server in particular stood out to us, he felt like a friend and matched our fun wedding vibe perfectly (I wish we had caught his name!). Leading up to the wedding, Encore was extremely responsive, flexible with last-minute changes, and easy to work with when customizing our invoice. They collaborated seamlessly with our venue and other vendors, which made things so much less stressful. To be honest, we took a bit of a gamble with the menu. Our original tasting was cocktail-style, but we later pivoted to a sit-down dinner and chose dishes based only on descriptions (without tasting them first). It could have gone either way, but every single dish blew us away. If anything, the only improvement we’d suggest is having a full gallery of meal photos to make the decision process even easier for couples. Encore truly elevated the atmosphere of our wedding and left a lasting impression on everyone. I can’t say it enough but the food was delicious, and they were efficient, and their customer service was amazing. We’re already recommending them to our friends without hesitation.
CAUTION !!!!! My daughter used Encore for her wedding and we were deeply disappointed! Our tasting experience went well and the food was wonderful. Fast forward to the wedding day … the appetizers were great and we were pleased we were off to a great start. On to dinner - they crashed and burned ! A huge disappointment we feel the effects & embarrassment of to this day. The food from our tasting was NOT the same food they served at the wedding. They poured wine once and were never to be seen again. We had no idea what was happening ! Imagine your guests asking you if wine was no longer being served with dinner after the one pour!?! How embarrassing! The grooms father went to the bar to ask for bottles of wine for his table and was told the bar wasn’t responsible for that … the catering team was! A pregnant guest asked for a glass of water and the response she got was “ I suppose I can do that” NO water was delivered! We can only assume after this debacle that there was either a staff shortage or people were called off the street that very day to attempt to serve with ZERO experience! After a conversation with management explaining our disappointment… there was no compensation offered! The way a company deals with this speaks volumes of the integrity and character of their commitment to their customers. USE EXTREME CAUTION if you want to have a memorable wedding day and not throw your hard earned money away !!!
I hired Encore Catering to cater my unique wedding and had truly a wonderful experience working with them. My wedding venue was not the most straightforward - it did not have a full kitchen set up, but encore was able to work with the space with had to still create delicious hot food stations and passed appetizers. Working with the team at Encore was wonderful - they were incredibly kind and patient with all my questions and coordinated multiple site visits to the venue to ensure they had all the specs in order to pull it off on our big day. Big shout out to Nigel, Ria and David - thank you for all of your hard work in making our big day run so smoothly!! I would recommend Encore to anyone catering a wedding and wants delicious and fun food!
Great company over the 3 decades I have known them, they know when to pivot and do it very well and excel at it, David and Cary plus their team have accomplished very much over the years I must say as catering is a challenge and reward
My daughter was married at Bloom Field Gardens in Newcastle in June 2023 and the only caterer allowed was Encore Catering. Unfortunately my daughter and son-in-law encountered many disappointments during the process and also on the day of the wedding.
They catered our office Christmas party last minute and we had 100 guest. Thank you to everyone there. We really enjoyed the duck confit. It was last min but thank you
