This salon is my ride or die go-to salon in Toronto!! And Kobe (owner) is super professional and nice. He also knows what color would look good on me. I will definitely recommend to my friends!!
Me and my boyfriend hear that this hair salon is good on the app ”小红书”. However with the awful result of Koko(Owner) the result and outcome of this salon is way to awful for people who wants to come try. The owner has insulted us for having a “M” like forehead when it is his fault for making a clear mistake on the perm. More over, he insulted my boyfriend about his forehead he tricked me to match the color of my boyfriend’s hair dye “after” the perm. Whuich then never match because the owner told him not to because if he do so he can’t perm his hair again. The purpose of the owne telling him this is becuase he wants us to come back wit get another perm. In terms of this words to him it’s basically saying he wants more money than what he has gotten today. After being tricked to dye my hair back to “BLACK” Whuich is the color the origin color when I came out, they tried to cut my hair to claim $ as I didn’t wanted a hair cut. This made me unbelievably and uncomfortable around this place with them being so forceful. I strongly advise new people to NEVER COME to Koko hair cut as the people are trying many ways to trick you for them to serving you a service you didn’t ask for, talking about there opinion on how the hair or the shape of your head makes it impossible to accomplish while there mistake is yet to be blame. This overall showcases how unprofessional they are with them making you uncomfortable as they persuade you to agree upon them to self satisfy for there own rather the customer experience in this disgraceful salon.
I came here last November to get a haircut + dye. I showed my inspiration picture, which was red hair + bangs, and the staff member said it would be easy to replicate this look. However, when they finished dyeing my hair, the colour was nothing like the inspo picture... It was brown, with tints of red and purple It was more brown than anything. I was disappointed in the look but I still looked forward to the haircut. The haircut disappointed me too because when I asked for bangs, they told me how I couldn't get bangs since I had a cowlick in the front of my hair I had to go home and cut my own bangs.. the cowlick didn't interfere with anything at all. They most likely refused me to make the haircut as simple and fast as possible BUT STILL charging full price. Anyway, they proceed to cut curtain bangs for me and it looked horrible. It looked like a 5 year old had chop off the sides of my hair. It did not blend in with the rest of my hair at all. I was literally holding back my tears.. What a waste of nearly $300. I do not recommend this place unless you're a regular that have befriended the staff, because there was an obvious difference when it comes to customer service towards some of the people.
New favourite hair salon in town. I get my hair done by Joe, and he has an eye for what looks best for me, so I just let him do whatever, when I visit. The assistant/apprentice Mini (?) that washes my hair is also super nice and gentle, and gives pretty comfortable scalp massage during the wash!
The service is very good. And they do have a real good taste regarding for the colour selection. Their suggestion is professional and helpful。 overall. I really recommend this shop.
