Yurri and his team did some work in our yard, rebuilt a garden retaining well and built a foundation for our new shed, in addition to building and painting our shed. We recently hired Oak Home Services to redo our front porch, steps, and landing using Techo-Bloc interlock and Raffinato smooth retaining walls, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, the team was responsive, professional, and clearly experienced. And unlike most reviews that thank the "big wigs," we have to give a huge shoutout to Eddie, Vasyl (or Vaseliy), and the young guy on the forklift for their tireless effort and dedication to the project. These are the guys who truly brought our vision to life. They worked nearly 12 hours on the first day and over 12 hours on the second — all to ensure the majority of the work was completed on time and with care. The craftsmanship is outstanding — clean lines, perfect alignment, and incredible attention to detail. In addition to the interlocking work, the team also installed landscape lighting and created two cascading garden beds, which made the entire project feel even more complete and fulfilling to look at. The Raffinato retaining walls add a sleek, modern finish, while the Techo-Bloc interlock brings texture and curb appeal that completely elevates the front of our home. That said, while almost everything turned out beautifully, I think things could have been a little tighter and more consistent on the project management side. A few layout details or design intentions may have been lost in translation — nothing major, and understandable on a large project — but when you’re investing a significant amount, you naturally look for perfection. For example, we didn’t realize there would be no lighting above one of the garden beds, which was a bit of a surprise. With more timely and accurate communication, small details like this could likely have been addressed — possibly a result of a language barrier. We also noticed that some of the joints between the blocks weren’t filled in as completely as others, our garage ended up quite dusty after the work, and the cold asphalt patching could have been applied more neatly. These are relatively minor in the grand scheme — and admittedly, I'm nitpicking — but worth mentioning for future projects. I also want to thank Tim for allowing me to reach out to him on three separate occasions over the years for different projects. He was always incredibly communicative, understood exactly what we were looking for, and most importantly, helped maximize each project within our budget. He also agreed to go above and beyond by including new sodding for the damaged area, parging a few exposed concrete spots to better blend with the new stonework, and adding cold asphalt to the driveway to make sure everything aligned with the new steps. This was much appreciated and really tied everything together. Tim was instrumental in getting things moving and turning it all around quickly — I truly can’t thank him enough. They kept the job site clean, finished within budget, and never cut corners. We highly recommend Oak Home Services to anyone looking for top-tier hardscaping with great design, honest work, and a team that genuinely cares.
