Last month, I visited Dr. Parham Masoudi at NMC Walk-In Clinic for a medical issue. He handled the examination properly and gave me a suitable prescription. I also requested an MRI referral due to my back surgery, along with a letter for massage therapy, which he provided. After the visit, I was charged $30 by the clinic secretary, Sepideh. I initially assumed it was for the examination. When I later called her to ask about the charge, she explained it was for the massage therapy letter and said I could claim it through my insurance. However, my insurance rejected the claim. When I followed up again, I was told the charge was because the letter was printed and handed to me — something that would have been free if sent directly to a massage clinic recommended by the doctor. This was particularly frustrating since my wife had received the exact same letter from another clinic just a month earlier, completely free of charge. I contacted Dr. Masoudi directly, and after some discussion — and after I made it clear that I was prepared to report the issue to the CPSO — he agreed to refund the $30, acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding, despite I believe this is a systematic charge. I advise others to be cautious when visiting this clinic and to question any additional charges. You may be charged for things that were previously free or not clearly explained up front. Due to this experience, I’ve decided to change my family doctor. If you’re reading this review and have faced a similar situation with Dr. Parham Masoudi or NMC Walk-In Clinic, please confirm. If this was not an isolated case, we can file a formal complaint together with the CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario). However, if no one else has experienced the same, it may have simply been a one-time mistake that doesn’t require further action.
Dr. Parham Masoudi is truly the best family physician I have ever encountered. He is incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and always respectful to everyone. His expertise and attention to detail are unmatched. What makes him even more exceptional is his background as a urologist in his home country, which adds a deeper layer of medical understanding to his practice. Dr. Masoudi genuinely listens to his patients and takes the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring you feel heard and cared for. His compassion and dedication to his patients' well-being are evident in every interaction. This clinic can get quite busy, and the wait times can be a bit long, but the doctors make it all worthwhile. Dr. Javan was incredibly attentive, taking the time to listen to all my concerns and thoroughly explaining my treatment options. Despite the busy atmosphere, I felt valued and well taken care of.
Booked an appointment for a telephone meet and greet. The doctor never called. Either this clinic is super inefficient or a decision was made to discriminate against a disabled patient.
Great service Great Doctors and great staff I have been visiting this clinic more than a year. I am very happy with appointment and with walking visits. Doctors are very helpful and they provide a great service. Front desk staffs are friendly with happy faces. I appreciate all of them service.
