Their portion size has significantly gone down.. you pay 22 dollars and not getting the money worth of food compared to other places portion size is not generous as it used to be
Located heart of North York, Me and My husband absolutely loves this place, specially my husband I think he could eat here every single day! The portions are generous, the food is fresh and full of flavor, and the people who run it are just wonderful. It’s a real family-run business, owned by a hardworking Turkish family who put their heart into everything they do. I always joke that they might as well adopt my husband, he’s there so often. If you’re looking for a great spot for lunch or dinner that’s delicious, down-to-earth, and not the least bit pretentious, this is it. You can truly feel the warmth and honesty behind the food and the people. Highly recommend!
I had a mixed beef and chicken Doner wrap and it was delicious! All the vegetables were fresh, the meat from the spit was juicy and the staff was very friendly. The menu was extensive so I'd love to come back to sit down and eat a plate here.
Food was really nice and price were appropriate for the portion you get. I really liked Veggie Pide. The cheese was something that melts like cream in your mouth.
i went there with my family and it was really good and clean the food was fantastic and incredible. I highly recommend it to other people to go there with there family’s.
I dont want to damage a family business by giving a bad rating hence the 4 stars. However, I am really disappointed in this place. Its been a few times ive tried their wrap and meat, but today I thought of giving it another try and went in with my family for a proper meal. With the prices they charge, the portions are extremely underwhelming. While other places fill up your boxes with meat and sauces, the staff here always seems to be calculated and cautious. The taste is like any other regular Turkish kebab joint. Today was the hottest day of the summer but the restaurant was hotter than outside. No AC, no ventilation and all the heat from the open kitchen making it extremely hot. I never see the place filled with people and the staff is always killing time - the extra time could be used to give an improved service. I wish this place was better and I would become a regular. Chicken platter 2/5 (extremely poor quantity) Falafel 2/5 Beef wrap 3/5 Sauces (Garlic and Donner) 1/5 (watered down and bland)
I had been meaning to try Taksim Doner since they opened. I finally decided to drive there specially for trying them out only. Boy!! What a disappointment. Ordered the chicken wrap. There was hardly any chicken that was spread thin on the bread. The lady who was helping me was very skimpy on the veges as well. I have had shawarma (they call it Doner) at so many places, this was the most skimpy one at a total price of more than $14/-. What a waste of money and gas. The $6.50 classic shawarma from pita lite has more stuff than this place. Will never go to Taksim ever The only good thing is the freshly baked bread
