Dr. Heshmati takes a lot of time to check the eyes and then go into details with the patient. The staff are very friendly and competent and the clinic is equipped with several high tech equipment for checking the eyes.

Great service, would highly recommend! Dr. Javad explained everything very well and felt comfortable throughout the whole experience. The staff are friendly and great as well

Wasting money. Find other place adults and kids. I was customer for 16 years because it was close to my home and I never tried other optometrist in Canada I thought all of them like this. The optometrist just wants to sell. For years I bought these glasses which were easily came apart until my last glass. The lens gave me dizziness and nauseousness, I never get used to it very cheap lens. terrible for driving and dangerous. Second for kids this Optometrist forcing family to do ”Myopia Therapy” which is optional due to high price of process. Get second opinion from another optometrist and you see the difference. This review for” Dr Heshmati”

Worst place to go. Thieves working there. They told me that the corneal abrasion (scratch) is covered by OHIP. And doctor did say there is a scratch on the eye and an infection and prescribed an antibiotics. The reception charged me $75 and gave me a receipt for general consultation saying OHIP wouldn’t cover it. What the heck?

I had my eye exam in 15 sept 2017 for multifocal contact lens. The contact was just good for shortsighted and not working at all for reading. Indeed I couldn't read when I was in the contact. I decided to make a multifocal glasses instead a few days later ( 27 sept 2017). I was assured by the staffs & the dr that both contacts and glasses lens are covered in warranty if I don't comfortable with them. When I went back to the clinic to make a prescription sunglasses in June 2018, I complaint about the contact lens and the mulitifocal glasses to dr. Habib which recommended me to see Dr. Hasmiti again as it's still Cover within one year warranty period. I called in to make an appointment a few days later, the phone was answered By dr. Habib, he took my particular and said that the staff would call me for the appointment. No one called back. Few days ago I called in about issue with my multifocal glasses that I felt dizzy after wearing it while driving and issue with my contact too as my eyes become very dried and painful after a while. The lady in the clinic asked my to come for an eye check as it was still cover under one year warranty. When I walked in yesteday at 5.30 pm, she says the dr is about to go home and fix appointment for today instead. When I reached the clinic today ( 11 sept )just to be told that i need to pay for the eye exam as it almost reached one year anniversary, which I argued it's still within one year as the anniversary is 15th sept and it's absolutely contrary to what they said a day before. The issue here, this clinic is not reliable nor holding on their promises. My anniversary is still another 3 days away and I had lodged my complaints 3 months ago. They just want to make you to pay. It's better to choose other reliable clinic that fulfill their promises. In my experience with the prescription sunglasses, I was informed by Marina ( lady staff) that it has one year warranty ie broken, scratches, etc ( which is a normal warranty given by any big optometry ie lens crafter) but dr. Hasmiti quickly interfered that it was manufacturing defect warranty. Bottom line don't go to this clinic. It's too bad that medical professional is going towards commercializing the service and not adhere to medical professionalism

Be ready to wait. Be ready for a hard sell. Be ready for high prices. Be ready to get no details about your eyes. Be ready to get no explanations. Dr Heshmati tends to hide substantial information and scare you to influence your decisions and pursue you to buy from them more than you need. I went there because of an issue with my eye. I was told a lot of scary stories about eyes in general, while my particular issue was not explained at all. Final solution for the issue - moderate dry eye drops (no prescription needed), no treatment required. But it sounded like I was going to lose my vision. Not trustworthy. Canceled my next appointment with this doctor. -------------------------------------------- Update: Thank you for giving readers an idea of how your treatment works. That is exactly how I described it above. You do not explain the major problem, but you care a lot of selling glasses and extra services (not required.) There are two inaccuracies in your answer. First, the issue was not partially treated, maybe it was partially healed by itself. If there is no big deal, why scare me with made up harsh consequences? Second, I had a proper appointment made earlier that day. Which doesn't mean that you fit me in your "busy" schedule. Lastly, I support that OHIP covers only 30% (they are not stupid) - the fair price for your services. Wish you good luck as well!

Doctor over-prescribed my lens. Even after one month of wear, I will start crying after reading for more than a few mins, nausea from trying to focus on anything close range. This is negatively impacting my job and academic performance as I cannot focus on text on computer screen or print. I now have no choice but to get another eye exam elsewhere and to purchase new lens with a more appropriate prescription so that I can function in my day-to-day life.
