My experience with IRIS Optical has been fabulous. I was promptly taken in for visual fields testing and retinal imaging. This was done by Phoebe who was very competent and expert at getting my blinking under control. I was seated until Doctor Supan Parikh, my optometrist, read the results and then he invited me into an examination room for a thorough assessment of my eyes. I was dreading this appointment since Doctor Parikh's previous eye examination had suggested that cataract surgery might be required after an 18 month period. Doctor Parikh is an exceptional optometrist. He tested my vision completely, then added eye drops and examined the cataracts in each eye from every possible angle. We viewed the retinal scans and AI generated images together and he explained them to me... I found this fascinating. After extensive testing, Doctor Parikh told me the good news that my cataracts have not grown and my vision with my current prescription glasses has not changed. Great news and I thank all of the eye specialists (including my wonderful optician Perry Steigner who adds UV protection to my lenses) at IRIS Optical for their outstanding eye care.
Great place to go for your eyes. They are expert at their job. They have a wonderful doctor there to check your eyes out thoroughly. I highly recommend you visit Iris.
When i moved to the neighborhood at Sheppard, I walked into the IRIS office to get my eyes checked for a new prescription and glasses inclusive of my Uveitis flare ups in my left eye. Their service from day one has been warm, friendly and very professional. The staff at the front office are awesome and the Optometrists are very on point especially when treating my Uveitis. Ill highly recommend them to anyone in the Bayview/Sheppard Community.
Johanna was amazing with helping fix my broken glasses. They broke while driving so I pulled over and went to the nearest optician. Lucky it was this place! She had me sorted in no time at all. Will definitely go back when I’m in the market for new glasses.
My husband has been their customer for more than ten years. However most recent experience was very unbearable surprised me. The eye exam optics made mistake for the prescription. He got headache each time he is using the glasses. He went back to talk to them, they asked him to pay $149 to correct the lens for their mistake. He was timid and paid for it. Recently we went to do eye exam again. There is slightly changes for his eyes. However the doctor told him he did not need to change his glasses. He has two pairs of glasses from Iris using them now. Actually the two pairs are very similar. The new ones were suggested by iris’s doctor to get new pair. It is really cheat the customer.
Great experience! Quick, efficient, safe and satisfying. The receptionist was very friendly, taking care of the timings, COVID safety procedures. Dr. Parikh is very knowledgeable, attentive and professional. He answered all my questions in depth. I was also able to choose and order new glasses at the same visit. Many thanks to Perry! I recently visited Iris to have my glasses adjusted, I was greeted with warm welcomes and asked if I required asistance. During the adjustment I was able to look around at their large selection of frames available. I spotted quite a few frames that caught my eye. The associate helping me also gave me some advice which helped narrow down the kinds of frames that best suited my face shape, but were still very stylish. The atmosphere was great, I didn't feel any pressure while looking around, the store is very clean and well laid out. If you required assistance everyone was willing to help. The adjustment of my glasses were perfect, they fit snugly and are now well balanced. Thanks Iris for making my experience memorable and enjoyable, I'll be dropping by soon with my mom since she is due for new glasses.
