The owner is very nice but I didn't get what I paid for. I came in to get my shoes extended as I was getting blisters. It cost me $33 and the shoes didn't feel any different after he was done so I came back, didn't pay this time, and he worked on them again. After this, I still didn't feel any improvement when wearing the shoes. So I went back. He suggested we add a sole for $25, which I decided not to do. It's frustrating not getting the service you pay for and then getting asked to pay more which I have a feeling wouldn't improve anything after several rounds of not seeing any improvement.
I’ve been to Sheppard Shoe Repair twice now to get my keys cut, and both times the service was quick, reliable, and friendly. The owner couple is so kind and helpful, and they really make you feel welcome. They don’t just do keys, they also offer shoe repairs and other handy services, all with great attention to detail. I had a pair of cowboy boots that I wanted to add a side zipper to make them easier to put on. Zipper was added very neatly, looks great! Both staff very kind and professional. They also stretched out the boots since they were a bit snug especially in the toe area. Definitely recommend this repair place for boots! Very happy with the results and price for labour was very reasonable.
I repaired two boots here with worn off heels and scratched leather. I’m very pleased with the quality of the job they provided . A very lovely professional couple. I’d definitely recommend this place.
When my shoes came in, they were brand new but after his service, one of the heel was broken, the insole was dirty with black stains, also the patent leather has some glues on it which made it looks like pre-owned. The service itself (bottom protectors) was so so, you can see the glue on the edge. The person was very careless to do the work and didn’t show respect to customers. When I tried to explain my concerns, he said “it’s okay, no one can see it”. When I tried to express my feelings and ask for repair, he pretended not understanding English “I don’t know what you are talking”. He didn’t even say sorry or apologize to me after payment. And his last word was “we are closing now”. Please don’t go there if you really care about your stuff!
DON"T go to the store to copy your keys because it's close to you. You will be wasting money and time. The owner is a terrible and dishonorable person who has no skill and just want to earn quick cash. I should have do some google search and read his other reviews (ALL BAD) before I went. But I didn't. I went there to copy my keys because I have to use the next day. Immediately after he made the copy, I noticed the length is not right, he then put on a glasses (which he didn't wear in the beginning) and try to fix it. I should have noticed that sign but instead I gave him the money. The next day, I found out the thickness didn't match and I couldn't even put the new key in. Because I have to leave the new key to someone that day and the store is very far, I had to go to another store close by to make another copy. A few days later, I went back to the store and told him what had happened and I already have a new copy and ask him to refund me. He ignored what I have said and try to 'fix' the key again. At which point, I repeat my reasoning and he refuse to refund me. He kept saying that " you should have went back to him and all my customers came back to have him fix it". Basically, he knows he is terrible at key copying and expects customers to come back repeatedly until they gave up. When I try communicating with him, he pretended to something and ignore me completely and later throw me out when there is no other customer. This owner has no respect to customer and no honer to his service or products. Don't waste your time and money or you will end up like me. BTW, the other store cost half of the money to make a key, which works and they promise to refund if doesn't.
It’s back in business! This place was closed for a few years but they just reopened, most importantly, same owner. Though his English isn’t great, the service and workmanship is phenomenal. I used to take my shoes to get the heels and soles repaired for my work shoes. I serviced shoes their 5-6 yrs ago and still wear them, wouldn’t need to get them repaired yet and have years left on them.. it’s definitely worth it! My wife has gotten her heels and boots serviced; same level of care as my shoes!! I’m just glad they’re back in action!
