This is the second time I have faced discrimination by passport Canada. The first time in 2015, getting passports for my children. I was interrogated, like a criminal. Due to the fact that i am separated/divorced. I had given them all the legal documentation, approval and signature from co-parent and everything they required to process my children’s passports and i was given a hard time. A single mom, OCT certified Teacher, law abiding citizen and valuable contributor to society, and was treated like a criminal. All i wanted was passports for my kids to go on vacation. With those passports, we traveled to Italy, Cuba, Punta Cana. Fast forward to 2022. My younger daughter (now 14) with an expired passport. I’m given the same exact treatment as i was given in 2015. This time i provide my daughters original birth certificate, documentation, legal (all the legal documentation i have), application etc, everything, couriered to Quebec (what i was told to do by passport Canada) back in May. Went from one place to another, from one person to another. They have had all my documentation and application for 10 weeks!!!!! Unacceptable!!!! I had no choice but to submit several complaints. At the 11th hour they are again calling and questioning me!!! 2 days before my trip!!!! This year, My 14 year old’s passport simply expired, nothing has changed. I’m still a Teacher, single mom, law abiding citizen and they are wasting their time on me when they could be focussing on the actual criminals and criminal activity that has been happening going in and out of this country. I have a mother/daughter trip booked in 2 days July 27 2022 and I still do not have my daughters passport. With everything that has gone on with covid and the youth’s mental health, parents are left to pick up the pieces. When you try and do something for your child to help them feel “normal” again, it becomes the most stressful situation. My family has gone through so much stress and passport Canada Quebec, Brampton and North york offices have been big contributors to that stress back in 2015 and now again in 2022 when you would think processes would have improved. I had to write letters and submit complaints back then and now again . Shame on you passport canada for not doing your job and for putting families through even more stress and for putting families through undue discrimination!!!!! Shame!!! If I could give a zero for this federally run office I would. Single parents beware.
Very well organized. I needed my passport urgently as it was delayed due to COVID-19. I just had to call and send a simple letter to get an appointment very fast. They received my file from the head office and I just received my passport. It took me 10 min. Very good service. Thank all these people
Excellent service! The ladies who run the photo centre went above and beyond for me when I needed my pictures taken and handed in in a small window of time. When no one else was willing to help, they did everything they could to help me out! Would recommend to anyone who needs their photos taken! Amazing customer service.
Fairly quick and efficient, might be an off day but hope they had more reps on passport renewal. They only had one person handling it and the wait was almost an hour on a Wednesday morning. Otherwise very organized.
