The best restaurant in town, nice service, nice food, clean environment..this is a place that offers not just dine in but you can have your parties here as well.
I came here on World Amala Day (Nov 29) unbeknownst to me and we had a fantastic time. The food and the service from Rhobor were great and the restaurant is very picturesque. We enjoyed our time and experience here and we’ll definitely be back!! ❤️
I totally enjoyed my Friday night at Funkey’s! The Amala was so delicious and filling. If you’re looking for the best place to fill your stomach and have fun while at it, you should definitely visit this restaurant.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PLEASE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS BEFORE GOING !! I don’t think Nigerians know anything about customer service no hi how are you no welcome. I asked for asun jollof rice she said she didn’t have they said if I would like meat with my jollof rice I would have spend $30 on goat meat alone or $10 on just one I said I would rather just get nun. Because in general any rice you get should always come with meat I’ve tried multiple restaurants and fast food places the meat is always included. She was very rude and needs to be taught what customer service is because I know how to treat customers because I’ve been working in customer service for more than 2 years. I also asked to seat somewhere she had said no because it’s only for groups when in restaurants people should seat wherever they want and even at that her restaurant was empty?. They never onced checked up on us or asked if the food was okay or if we would like anything else or even introduced herself to us. She was on the phone the whole time and charged for bagsnever coming back I usually recommend places on my TikTok page and I’ve had some people ask me where this place is and I’m gonna say I don’t recommend and I honestly wouldn’t come back here again waste of time and money. Overall food 5/10 spicy and customer service 0/10 just horrible. Was gonna tip too but service was horrible. The whole experience was horrible first 5 minutes I should’ve left before I got something.
Place is good but the lady at the counter was very rude and didn’t even have the guts to eat the food. Had to leave cause of her arrogance. Customers have the liberty to seat and enjoy anywhere they feel is convenient and comfortable to eat and enjoy. She just doesn’t understand that. I love supporting African restaurants but this has disappointed me.
I typically never bad leave reviews but I had to take time out of my day to do it for this one. I ordered amala, gbegiri and Ewedu and Ayamase. The amala was good. However the Ayamase had an egg… 1 egg and that’s it. It was very watery. The rice literally soaked up all the sauce. For reference I am Nigerian so I was very disappointed. If you want to eat at this place maybe dine in but as for online orders….They will show u shege. Trust me the ayamase platswas much smaller than it looks. I spent $70!!!!
Bad customer service. Can’t understand how they have a 4.4 star review, go there at your own risk sha. To explain what happened. we got there and most of what we had order was not available, it was either they were too lazy to start preparing it cause we came there to have an early dinner or they were male centered. The male customer who order things not up to what we order were served in a rolling tray while us were getting our order one by one in plastic tray. I asked for more than 4 items and they didn't have the ingredients for any I eventually had to settle for the abula ( that too wasn't good). Then when it was time to pay, we were ringing the bell for more 15-20 minutes before they finally answered us like we didn't have somewhere to be. The overall experience was a -1/10. And my cousins who came from the states was looking forward to the experience because it was recommended to them by their male friend.
