Very disappointed with the jerk chicken lacked flavour, dry and tasted horrible. Festival was dry and overly sweet. Please do better people cannot be spending their money on food that is not tasty. Very disappointed. For $80 bucks I could have had a better meal elsewhere.
I was very disappointed with my experience at Willy’s Jerk. The customer service was poor and unwelcoming. The food was just as bad—overly salty, dry chicken with no real flavor. It didn’t taste fresh at all, and for the price they charge, it’s definitely not worth it. Sadly, I would not recommend this place.
Just had a fry chicken dinner it was awful chicken was over fried n the portion was too small for a large this is the Wilson location I normally buy at the Keele/Finch location much better there but they need to do better on the gravy as well don't like dry food the only problem I have with Jamaican food
Today April 16 at 4:30 pm I had to walk out of this restaurant because of the lady who is cashing attitude, my GOD, this lady is not looking out for the best interest of this business so disappointing as Black people OR SHOULD I SAY JAMAICAN.
I had stopped eating at this place. Stopped 2008. I could not handle their salty jerk chicken. March 30, 2024, I was in the plaza and I didn't want filler fast-food. I wanted something solid. I thought to try something else there, besides the Jerk chicken. I had ordered fries chicken and when I opened the container, in the car, it was curry chicken. I tried eating it in the parking lot instead of returning it because I didn't want any attitude. I regretted going their because the experience that I had with the heavy salt reared its ugly head after years of absence. The curry chicken was bloody salty; I was literally feeling my bloody pressure rising. The thing had no flavour to it. All that I was experiencing were salt and heat. Horrible food. Never a damn gain am I going to this place. I don't know how they survived for this long selling salty food? This is why Black people have hypertension and diabetes, eating from places like this and cooking similarly at home. Willy's Jerk, you must do better with your salt portions. You have been preparing heavily salted foods for years without being mindful of people's health. I could have bet money that if I had told them years ago or today about how salty the food has been, they would have been vexed and argumentative and dismissive instead of making adjustments. Willy's Jerk, what if I had returned the food? How would you have taken it? Would you have taken it as fair criticism? The cashier entered the wrong meal and it was salty. I know that it would not have gone well if I had brought it back given the people who run the operation. I am greatly disappointed. Customers should not be made or think of being intimidated if they were to voice concerns about a Black run business's service and product quality. Again, your food is awful and I should have not returned and will never return. Shameful of you giving people that jeopardize their health. You are not even friendly, no hello just how can I help you attitude? Lose the uninviting attitude. Black people must lose this stinking attitude. We don't have to buy from you. Us buying from you is us keeping you in business, so who needs who man?
Food is not bad but the ambiance is horrible and the customer service from the lady at the back who serves is very deplorable. They need better customer service from the servers. The cashier is nice and has good customer service.
The jerk chicken was the best as usual. Customer service was friendly. However, I was not a big fan of the dumplings. They were a tad salty for my liking. But overall, really good! I will be going back and I would also recommend.
