I've been here a few times with friends and family and unfortunately the food is just not up to par. If all you do is jerk chicken it should be phenomenal at minimum or should always be good. Each and every time we've ordered the poutine, quarter chicken with hardo bread or just jerk chicken its dry and overdone. There are a multitude of restaurants in and around the area that serve far better jerk chicken at a significantly lower price however we try and support local because we live literally down the street. We will not be returning as the food isn't great and the commentary around the service provided at this establishment (impatient with customers) has been accurate.
Best jerk chicken I’ve ever had! Everything is homemade from the hot sauce to the spices. The owner, Luca, marinates and cooks the chicken himself right outside, and you can truly taste the passion he puts into every plate. He was welcoming and friendly, and the food was just incredible. Highly recommend Yardy’s Jerk Chicken!
This is the closest thing to the jerk chicken/pan chicken back home in Jamaica it’s so flavourful, juicy and tender. It took me on a trip down memory lane. It’s 100% on point. Thank you for delivering such excellence! If you’ve never been to Jamaica and want to know exactly how Jamaican jerk chicken tastes just get some from Yardy’s Jerk!
EDIT AFTER RESPONSE: the man was definitely smoking, stop lying! Can’t trust them either if they lie so easily. Will never get food here again, the cook was smoking in the back over the food and they chat too much over it. All the girl at the cash while she’s packaging it. Don’t care what the food tastes like when that’s going on, speaks to the hygiene of the people and the place. Only good thing is it’s made in the pan but it’s not the best in TO and anyone saying it’s better than JA doesn’t know the food in our culture.
Always get jerk chicken when I come back to T.O. I've never been here before, but I've also never ended up with jerk chicken on my shoulder. I went back in and bought more, because I ate the one I was going to take home... oh the shame. But it was SO GOOD! Excellent BBQ jerk, and I will definitely be back.
Vibes !!! Must dine in for a true casual Reggae evening. Check the day and timing though. Well seasoned, balanced flavours, juicy and smoky Jerk chicken. Lay it over a bread or fries, enjoy a beer with friends and call it a night. Friendly ambience and excellent customer service. Long wait times though(could be over an hour at times) but you can enjoy your favourite drink while waiting. Beer, shots or Rum - they have it all. I am hooked…
Best jerk chicken, hands down. You like banh mi? you like jerk chicken? try the jerk chicken banh mi, you can thank me later. Love this place! great food, great people! order everything on the menu.
