I had an appointment at 1pm, and they had the doors locked and left us outside in the cold well after 1pm with no word of opening. Terrible system and care for people’s time.
No complaints about the lab I go to, the girl is very efficient. My issue is with their website as you cannot get in for your results. It constantly says. ‘Attempting login’. Very upsetting and for that I will stick with Lifelabs.
This review is strictly about a phone call I had with one of the employee. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but the behavior I experienced was completely unacceptable. I was simply asking for details about a blood test, but I had trouble understanding her because she spoke too quickly or unclearly, so I kept asking for clarification. Instead of being patient, she became rude and even yelled at me. When I asked her why she was yelling, she immediately lowered her voice, but her tone remained unhelpful and unprofessional. This kind of unprofessionalism is absolutely intolerable, especially from a medical lab that should prioritize customer service.
This review is only for over the phone service, I did my blood draws elsewhere and it was sent to this location for results. I received phone calls from this location one afternoon when I was unable to answer the phone, they phoned me twice and then a couple of hours later when I was able to, I phoned them back and once I informed them of who I was the person said "OH MY GOD, I have been trying to contact you" like yes, that is why I'm calling you back. She then informed me that one of my tests isn't covered by OHIP and that it was time sensitive, understandable, and not her fault at all. However, I had some questions and she was extremely short with me, kept cutting me off and responding in very unhelpful ways. I am trying to speak sentences back to her to make sure I am hearing them correctly and she is interrupting me. The next day I called them back and same thing, interrupting and a rude tone. Saying "I told you, I told you.." ...yes and I'm clarifying what you told me if you would just let me speak. Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior. I genuinely don't think I've ever been treated like that, I felt like she was a mother trying to scold her child. I am a grown adult woman asking questions about a topic that I do not know much about and I have hearing problems so I need to clarify things sometimes. Talk to your employees about how they talk to patients please. I can give a name of the person I dealt with if needed.
The blood draw service itself is wonderful. However, twice now I have paid for additional tests and then been harassed continually by their billing department, telling me that I had not paid. The follow-up has been continually painfully frustrating; they have not believed me that it was paid, despite me sending them paid invoices. This company desperately needs to update their bookkeeping system so that paid invoices reflect as paid on their end and no longer results in very frustrating calls with their mostly useless service staff.
I had a doctors appointment on Saturday and after returning home I called this company on Saturday before 2pm seeking information about getting a blood test. The person on the phone was very rude and ended up yelling at me after not being able to answer my questions about booking an appointment. It was honestly one of the strangest interactions I've had in years, with anyone. That person should not be talking to patients. I still don't have an appointment, I'll try to get my blood test done during the week.
I go to this lab after I read the review. It is very nice place and the service is excellent! I will recommend everyone around me to go to this lab to do the test. :)
