For the price I paid, it really wasn’t worth it. I requested more or less of certain ingredients and even paid extra, but the person serving me ignored my requests while making my bowls. I also wanted to try both protein options *chicken and steak* but I still ended up unhappy with what I received. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, and as a customer I feel I should be leaving satisfied. My experience was not similar to what other reviewers described, which is unfortunate. I gave multiple opportunities for my order to be corrected, but my requests were not listened to. In the end, I felt like I paid full price for mostly veggies and rice with barely half a spoon of meat. Which is what I was served. I don’t think I’ll be returning, but I hope management takes steps to improve customer service, portion fairness, and attention to customer requests.
I had a disappointing experience here. I ordered a chicken bowl, which was listed at $13. While the staff member was assembling my bowl, she added avocado and briefly mentioned it was “extra” — but didn’t clearly explain the cost or ask for my confirmation. When I got to the cashier, I was surprised to see the total was $19. I was never told that the avocado would add $6 to the price. I wouldn’t have agreed to that if I had known. This kind of unclear communication feels misleading. I expected more transparency, especially when something significantly increases the price.
I don’t know who it was that was serving me, but there was a gentleman there that was just so kind and patient with me. I have dietary restrictions and he worked with me to ensure that my food was completely vegetarian for me. He built my bowl and directed the staff to make my fries in a specific way and I really appreciated that! The food was very tasty and had a lot of flavour, the extra spicy sauce is a must! Price is also just right for the amount of food you get, 10/10!
Having lived in Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and South California for many years, I can tell you that I have no idea what this food is but it certainly is NOT Tex-Mex or Mexican.
Yesterday they had their annual deal of every burrito and burrito bowl for $5.55 rather than the $11 they normally charge. Yet I guess whoever the manager was at the time decided to only employ two people behind the counter. It was a shitshow and a half. I was on break from work and had to wait 20+ minutes for them to even take my order as the line was over a dozen people long. As someone that had worked in fast food for years, there was no communication, no correlation, and little effort as they asked the same questions repeatedly. Most of the ingredients in the burrito were bottom of the pot leftovers, so it tasted below average, but how do you know your entire menu is 50% off yet still only schedule two staff to work? Poor management decisions, and it’s safe to say I’ll be avoiding this particular location from now on. There’s a Subway in the same plaza and I’m spending $3 less on food a lot better than this, presumably with staff and management that actually care about foreseeing sales properly. Being cheap isn’t always the best.
this place isn't horrible, the food is passable - but like others have said just not satisfying - i literally went out and got a second lunch after eating here - portions are small and lack the spice/flavor of other places - unless your really craving just passable "mexican" food, just pass on this place
If you expect to be satisfied after eating here then think again. Over 10 dollars for a burrito that is miniature sized. Several places in the area that are much better. Try the Burrito Place near Yonge and finch - much better quality and better portions.
