Not impressed... I had an appointment at 6:15pm and didn't start my nails until nearly 6:45pm. The kicker was when another lady came in nearly 20 minutes after me and was helped before I was. In fairness, the lady who did my nails was very apologetic for the wait, but didn't seem to have any reason for me being deprioritized by the lady who came in well after me. She did a fine job, but it was SUPER rushed as I had to leave by 7:25pm to pick up my son. Overall, I won't go back. I understand not all appointments start on time, but being bumped by somebody who came well after me without so much as an acknowledgement crossed the line for me. Make sure you have lots of time if you plan on going here...
Had my nails done on Saturday with bio gel extensions, by Tuesday I lost a nail. I told myself it was just one nail that wasn’t glued properly, but two days later and I lost another three nails. I am on a trip so I can’t go in to have them redone and I have to walk around with half extensions and half not. I sent a message on Tuesday but haven’t heard back hence the 2 star review. They get two because my toes as Shellac are nice, and I’ve had extension here before and didn’t have this problem.
The service was really good, and my nails turned out great! I just wish the staff were a bit more talkative with clients to make the experience feel more personal. Overall, they did a wonderful job and I’ll definitely be going back!
Gracie was amazing! Will be back :) UPDATE; i had to give a lower review after my last waxing appointment, the girls were clearly not experienced enough as i ended up with bruising and so much wax residue left over. Unfortunately i wont be coming back here, even for nails. The space they do the wax isnt really that clean either. The girls were nice and all, but if you wax, you should be experience with all hair types and thickness. I heard one of the girls say they thought the bruising was a cut or ingrown, but it was clearly caused by Gracie not holding down the skin well in the more sensitive areas. They also brought in Ori to help but considering this was a first wax, having two people wax at the same time to finish faster was so not pleasant at all. Also got wax all over the bottom of my shorts. Very disappointed.
What a wonderful first pedicure EVER! Thank you for making my first pedicure so incredible! I’m hooked! I wish I got her name, but I think she was the owner who worked on my dry, broken and gross feet of mine during the pedicure. She spent her time on trimming, peeling, painting, massaging and just treating my feet to what they deserve and that which I didn’t give them for years. Thank you for being so patient and kind! My feet are now smooth, clean, and shining! Can’t wait for my next pedicure or manicure!
I love Chloe! They’re all so sweet and hard working. They’re very honest about what they can do and they try to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Lovely ladies! Will be coming back and sending my friends here too. Just made a life long client?
The technicians at The Nail Box, Don Mills are incredibly skilled. My nails are always well done with the perfect shape. I have been doing my nails for over 15 years and this is the best nail salon i have been to.
