I am very disappointed with my experience at Union Optical Wilson today. My family has been coming to this optical for years and we’ve never had any issues. Back in August, I called the number listed on Google for the Wilson location to book an appointment. I am certain I called Wilson, since I live closer, and I booked two months in advance for October because that is when our union benefits can be used. When I showed up this morning for my appointment, I was told it had been booked at the Vaughan location instead. This was extremely frustrating, as I never made an appointment there. In fact, I did not even know there was another location. To make matters worse, the receptionist did not seem to care and wasn’t paying attention while speaking with me. Their mistake was not acknowledged, and instead I was told I probably called Vaughan by mistake. I know I had called the Wilson number directly. I am extremely disappointed, and the time my mother and I set aside for this appointment was completely wasted.
Had my appointment at 4 PM. Checked in and sat down to wait. At 430 I asked how much longer the wait was going to be, only to be informed that the doctor had just arrived and there were already a couple of appointments before mine. Seemed like a total disregard of people's time.
Terrible experience and lack of fulfillment I've had a very frustrating experience with my glasses order. I ordered a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses a month and a half ago with a promised delivery time of two weeks. After this long and unexpected delay, I was informed today that the pair that arrived is not the one I ordered. Instead of the matte black glasses, I received a shiny black pair. I was offered to wait an additional month to receive the correct color. This level of delay and the failure to fulfill the original order are unacceptable. I am very disappointed with the service, the lack of communication about the delays, and the error in the product. I need an immediate solution to this situation. The company must take responsibility for the error and the wasted time.
Great service! I was assisted as soon as I walked in, the doctor was soft spoken and worked very quickly. Also has a wide variety of glasses to choose from!
This was the first time using Union Optical and I have to admit I was very impressed. Their prices were extremely reasonable and the quality was very decent! They gave me an eye exam then I picked out my frames. They gave me a time frame 2 - 3 weeks but the glasses were done in about 10 days which was suprising in itself.. I went and picked up the glasses and tried them out for the first time but there was an issue with them as everything seemed to be blurry, They were very professional with no questions asked, they rescheduled another eye exam incase there was an error but upon my return I discovered the error was on my part. My previous glasses were also progressives so I was familiar with how to use them, but once I saw the optometrist he took a reading of the lenses in the new glasses and found that I wasn't using them correctly... Since the glasses I had before were a touch wider, there was more forgiveness when looking out the sides of the lenses where since these new ones are not as wide they were a bit more strict in where I'm suppose to be looking out of them.. Once I followed his advice, everything came into focus.. it was just a question of learning how to use these glasses correctly.. I have to say, I had both a nice and enjoyable experience dealing with these people and look forward to returning to them again in 2 years instead of waiting for 10+ years... They've addressed all my concerns right from the beginning to the end.. Thanks Union Optical ! I can See again !!
This place used to be very good. Now, nobody answers the phone, had to go in person to book appointment. 3 months later, once there, I got in 55 minutes after my appointment time and then I was asked to choose frames (in a very arrogant way) before an associate could talk to me. After I was called to proceed with the order of prescription glasses (?) I choose to have my prescription and walk out of there. I will take my business elsewhere. Having said that, there are still very nice people there, specially a few young ladies.for the record, this business does NOT belong to Local 183. They're taking it for granted. No more for me, I am done with lack of commitment to customers.
