I am not sure whether this is actually a store. It is not the store in the pictures (different building and different place). I could only find a locked door with no indications of hours or anything suggesting it was open to customers. Perplexing and disappointing.
The store was closed during working hours. Not even a note saying if temporarily closed. Very disrespectful to people that drive on crowded streets to get here. I was there at 4 PM tody.
Upon entering Playtime, the cashier at the front with black hair, eyed me down the entire time I was in the store. She didn’t greet me or smile she just stared. As a POC it was giving off a ‘racial profile’ feeling. Unacceptable.
This Toronto small business is wonderful! I have made 2 online orders from their large selection of Squishmallows. The items got shipped out the next day and received the items in a week. The second time I ordered, I got a email from the owner Joel to thank me for the repeat purchase! Amazing customer service! Items arrived in perfect condition and have had absolutely no issues. Highly recommend ordering from them!
im SO HAPPY i found this place online while squishmallow hunting!! i placed an order on friday evening for 5 (lol) squishes and they all arrived the next day SO QUICK. i was not expecting it to arrive in 24 hours. prior to being dropped off, i received a "thank you" email from the owner - which im not sure if it was automated, but even if it was, i thought was a super sweet touch. my order was carefully dropped off at my door in a big box, and the driver knocked in the cutest little tune haha. 100% will order again. oh ALSO, i was so happy to see when i saw this was a family-owned small business. make that 110% will order again <3
