I stopped by recently to try something new, and while the drink itself tasted good, the service was honestly disappointing. I ordered a cold medium original milk tea, but what I received was a hot drink in what seemed like a smaller size. Mistakes happen, and I wouldn’t have minded — but when I politely mentioned it, the response from the staff felt unnecessarily irritated and dismissive. It came across like I was being blamed for the misunderstanding, even though I clearly stated what I wanted. What surprised me most was being asked to pay extra again just to correct the order. In my experience, if a shop makes an error, they usually fix it without charging the customer twice. The drinks here are genuinely good, but the customer service needs improvement. Being treated respectfully should be part of the experience, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case during my visit.

This place is a scam. Their ham and cheese bun has no ham and cheese inside. They say it’s just the thin strip of ham on top and a sprinkle of cheese is what it is. When the rest of them have stuffing. You ask them to change it out and they refuse. Absolutely rude owner or manager. Doesn’t even care to listen and just walks away. Rude and unfair.

I'm in the front of the entrance right now, the bakery is closed, it's 7:33, I'm late for work, and you haven't opened yet. I'm leaving, at 7:40, the bakery is closed, the sleepy employee has stopped and never left it again.

Price is affordable, located at Sheppard yonge center, the buns are quite nice, there’s a variety of Chinese and Hong Kong desserts and buns to choose from, including pineapple bun, taro buns and others *honestly idky the rating is so low, their buns are great

I bought a surprise bag for originally around $30 and it was honestly shocking. The bread was completely stale and dry, there was some weird dumpling that smelled fishy and rotten, and even some unidentifiable rice cake that looked like it was half-eaten. There was even a so-called ham and cheese bread that had neither ham nor cheese in it. The quality was so bad it was absolutely inedible — it felt greedy and like they only cared about squeezing money out of customers. I’ve tried many surprise bags before, but no bakery has ever disappointed me as much as this one. Even someone starving for ten days would rather go hungry than eat this. I will never, ever go back to this place, and I strongly recommend that no one else does either.

Just ordered many items via UberEats totalling nearly $100, and I hope this place shuts down forever. I then scrolled through the past reviews, and to my horror, there were some past issues that should have resulted in a health inspector shutting this place down. One past review indicated a wrapped and seal bun had an earwig baked right into it - that was actually a cockroach if you take a look at the picture more carefully. So, I ordered the following: BBQ bun, dumpling, har gow, siu mai, mochi, spring roll, sticky rice, sesame bun, several types of baked bun, egg tarts, taro milk tea and milk black tea. I'm sure I am missing some other food items.....but, like I said, I ordered a lot! Every food item tasted like it was far from being fresh. Like freezer burn, and thawed out and possibly microwaved. I bit into the siu mai and IMMEDIATELY spit it out. It was clearly rotten. Then I grabbed another siu mai and smelled it - and it smelled pungent. That's when I decided to take a look at past Google reviews and found a common theme where there was issues with the food quality being severely expired or a health and potentially legal issue (re: cocktoach in the food). Either do better or close down. Imagine children eating this food?!!

Accidentally left a wrong review last time. I’ve been a regular customer for Kin Kin for years. I love the variety they offer. It’s a good place for some quick snacks.
