Just the right consistency and fluffiness you need in a Cheesecake. One of the best cheesecake’s I’ve ever had in a long time. A full cheesecake comes at a pretty good cost and could easily feed 3-4 people. A must try in Toronto.
As a regular Uncle Tetsu customer, we stop by for a cake at this location because we were craving something sweet, and we ended up eating in the car. The cashier was very friendly and cheerful. The cheesecake is alway soft, moist, and with that light cheesy flavor that makes it so easy to enjoy. We tried the new Mochi Salted Caramel flavor this time. I think it's a bit sweeter than the original, with mochi pieces inside. A nice twist if you want something defferent, though I still prefer the balance of the classic.
Went today for a 6 pack of tarts and 2 Madeline’s. Got home and I was charged for a 6 pack of tarts with 2 Madeline’s and given 2 tarts and 2 Madeline’s. I understand mistakes happen but this is extremely frustrating.
Tetsushi Mizokami founded the original Uncle Tetsu in Hakata, Japan. Since its debut in 1985, Uncle Tetsu’s signature Japanese Cheesecakes have become an international phenomenon which has garnered fans around the globe. Uncle Tetsu Japanese Cheesecakes are made from scratch and combines the richness of American cheesecakes with the lightness of French soufflés. The Japanese Cheesecakes are admired for their lighter quality and balanced sweetness that provide the perfect taste and texture combination. Served warm from the oven with an Uncle Tetsu stamp atop the cake here at 39 Orfus Rd Unit C, North York, Ontario, Canada.
It’s very berry season at Uncle Tetsu and that means they have a delish mixed berry cheesecake you should try. I ate mine before I could take a photo but it was yummy. This place got me an order real fast and everyone was very happy! Try them if you are in the area!
Went today to pick up tarts and the overall service was just okay. The thing that really turned me off was though the guy in the back mixing the cake batter with his whole forearm?... No spoon, no spatula... using his arm, vigorously mixing the batter in the huge stand-mixer bowl and then scraping the batter off his arm back into the bowl.. I hope this is the traditional Japanese recipe and the way that it is usually prepared... even still kinda bad I know he could have washed his hands/arm but still looks horrible and if I hadn't ordered ahead for pickup and my money was already gone idk if I would have gotten anything.. I am personally trying to rational the fact I got the cheese tarts and not the cake so hopefully that preparation technique has nothing to do with the prep of my tarts
Unfortunately..... this wasn't the taste I remembered from the downtown location for a long time... the cake tastes pretty blend, and rusk is overly sweet♀️
