We buy an Expired ketchup. The next day we going to ask for replacement with the receipt & they don’t want replace new one unlike the other Markets. Never again shopped to MAMAS FOOD MARKET
Ok so obviously I am not the only one who was disappointed and dissatisfied with the cashier service. I just paid $60+ for my items and you want to check my bag?! No other grocery stores in Canada would do that! If you want to solve shop lifting, do something else! Enhance your security system! It’s not the cashier’s job to do that! Also, dont make your customers feel bad about themselves! Because of this, I may no longer come back!!!
It’s ridiculous the cashier asked to check my bag during the checkout. I asked her why and she pointed at a notice pasted on the checkout window and it says all the reusable bags need to be checked. 1. Violation of customers privacy and law. 2. Use logic. If someone steals something would he or her still come for checkout? 3. Close the store if you are afraid of being stolen or hire some security guys to guard you. Don’t do cheap and ugly things instead.
"I always go here to do my grocery shopping because it’s close to my house—like, weekly. I always carry a shoulder bag when I go. But now, it’s happened twice that the cashier asked if they could check my bag. Like, seriously? Do I look like a shoplifter? OMG. Maybe next time I go and they ask again, I’ll finally speak up!
Very unsatisfied to mama’s food market, actually this incident that i experience has been going on for a long time like 6months ago. I remember when im ready to pay my groceries the cashier lady (filipino girl) is DISCRIMINATED. she thinks im a shoplifter she thinks i put something in my bag and she said “can i check your bag” and i answer “okay sure” but after that she found nothing in my bag! realized in other groceries stores cashier workers did not checking your bags. I know this kind of incident is common to filipinos but it makes me sad and dissapointed! This is very ridiculous experience!
Great store , lots to choose from , it made me feel like buying everything.. however I had to leave due to the overcrowded isles with customers not respecting covid-19 safety guidelines and rules about social distancing. I wish the staff would hire security or monitor the customers especially during these very challenging times . I did notice ALL the staff wearing masks and they did a fantastic job of keeping the store clean . So my message is for you .. the consumer ( please ) follow the rules and kindly keep a distance as recommended by the city . I hope everyone good health and a quick return to normaland I look forward to coming in and a actually shopping . . I hope they have some HALO HALO in there
The supermarket was really clean and had a lot of Asian (Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese) grocery items like baked goods, snacks, produce, meats, frozen seafood and pantry items available. One register was cash only and the other accepted payment by card. It's super cool that they also sell balut here, I find that balut is fairly common in Asian groceries around the GTA.
