Specific Concerns and Issues • Poor Customer Service and Unwelcoming Atmosphere: Upon arrival, the front-desk staff exhibited a noticeable lack of courtesy and a failure to be welcoming (no smiling faces). The absence of basic politeness created a deeply negative initial impression. • Inadequate Emergency Scheduling: Despite the urgent medical nature of my required scan, your clinic was unable to provide a fast or timely appointment. The lack of accommodation for urgent cases is unacceptable in a medical setting. • Serious Professional Misconduct During the Ultrasound: • The most alarming issue was that the individual primarily performing the ultrasound appeared to be an elderly woman who lacked the proper license or professional qualification for the procedure. • She was being directed by another person whose specialist status was unknown to me. • Despite the guidance, the procedure was not performed correctly or competently, yet the individuals involved displayed an unsettling level of unprofessionalism by laughing during the process. This behavior is deeply disrespectful and extremely worrying for a patient undergoing a diagnostic procedure. • Lack of Competence and Accountability: The combined experience, from the unwelcoming reception to the demonstrable lack of skill and negligent attitude during the procedure, points to severe deficiencies in staff training and professional standards at your clinic. I urge you to launch an immediate investigation into the qualifications of the personnel performing diagnostic testing and the unacceptable level of professionalism displayed. I expect a prompt written response outlining the corrective actions you will take to ensure that all patient care and diagnostic procedures are conducted by fully licensed, competent, and professional staff. I had a great experience at Downsview Clinic. Vera did my ultrasound and she was so kind and comfortable to be around. I was very pleased with how quickly they were able to give me an appointment and how fast it was upon arrival. Thank you for the great experience!
Ultrasound technician was rude and had no manners. She was an old lady who didn't even say hi although I greeted and asked her how her day was going, she ignored me and told me to lay down. You don't get a copy of baby's Ultrasound printed or have access to digital pictures taken either. Whereas other places they do both. Took forever and constant calling for them to send my results to my doctor. Not returning here.
Horrible experience. Ultrasound technician was rude and not polite. I felt very bad after this visit. Hopefully her professional skills are better than her awful personality. Next time I’ll go to another place.
